Updated this week

As of May 1st, the Floriday Supplier API Summer main release 2024v1 is stable and available. This means that your software vendor can add new features and/or improve existing features in the software you're using in combination with Floriday.

Below is a brief overview of the major improvements in this release. Afterwards, the features available to software vendors are described per module. These features are accompanied by a link to the associated Helpcenter article if available.

For an overview of main features (to be) supported by software vendors, please visit our Software overview page.

Functional improvements

  • Adjustable weekly prices: As of October 1st 2024, growers will be able to adjust the weekly prices of plants during the week. After a price adjustment of a supply line in a weekly list, a 24-hour time lock comes into effect. This means that a subsequent price adjustment of that specific supply line can only take place 24 hours after the previous price adjustment.

    • The tools required to implement these chanes have already been made available in the 2024v1 version of your software. This allows your software vendor to timely start preparations for this new feature.

    • For more information on the Adjustable weekly prices, please read this article.

  • Contracts: Several improvements and adjustments to the Contract module have been made.

    • You are now able to add End customers to contracts when using the API.

    • Trade items variants can be used when creating Blanket orders.

    • When creating a contract, you can now enter a percentage or a fixed amount when entering the margin for the price of the number of pieces.

    • You are no longer allowed to edit the customer in a contract, if the contract is already finalized.

    • You may now create groups of trade items when adding a Contract. Instead of adding a single trade item, adding a group of trade items allows for more flexibility when creating Blanket orders.

A group of trade items consists of one Primary trade item and one or more substitute trade items. Both growers and customers may choose any trade item from the group of trade items when creating Blanket orders.

    • For more information about Contracts, please read this article.

  • Trade settings: You are now able to view Trade settings when using the API. Previously, you could only view your Trade settings or those of customers on the Floriday web site.

Managing your Trade settings can still only be done on the web site, which allows you to configure how you wish to trade with your customers on Floriday.

The trade settings of customers may be integrated in your software to optimize your workflows. For instance, you could check ahead if a buyer automatically accepts Sales order corrections or if a buyer has decided not to work with Transport costs.

For more information about Trade settings, please read this article.

  • Plant Passports: You are now able to download PDFs for Plant Passports. You can download the PDFs based on Sales orders and Sales channel (i.e. Direct and Clock).

  • Order requests: When a customer sends an order request, they can now indicate that the order request includes sticker costs.

  • Auction letters: You are now able to add both a delivery remark and a remark for the auctioneer when creating auction letters.

  • Clock pre sales: More information is now added when creating Clock pre sales supply, such as auction date, photos and the document reference.

  • VBN package codes: You are now able to supply a value between 001 and 999. Previously this was limited to values between 100 and 999.

Technical improvements

For a more efficient performance of the API, several technical improvements have been made.

  • Nullable to non-nullable: Previously, the API documentation included several fields that were indicated as 'optional', even though the fields were always filled. These specific 'optional' fields have now been made 'required'. This makes it more clear for your software vendor when data is available or not.

  • Clearer error messages: It is now clearer when an incorrect value is entered in a field where this value is not allowed.

  • Auction letters: Auction letters are created based on Batches. Previously, you could only create Auction letters in the API by first creating a Batch. You can now also create an auction letter based on a trade item. Since auction letters are still based on Batches, Floriday will automatically create a Batch based on that trade item to make an auction letter with.
