All trade items from your assortment are filled in the Floriday catalog. For these trade items, it is important that you have correctly entered the characteristics of these trade items.

For each trade item, you start by entering the VBN code. A number of characteristics are associated with each VBN code; some characteristic is mandatory, others are not. Despite this, these non-mandatory characteristics are often desirable for your customers. For this reason, we recommend filling in all characteristics that are associated with a trade item.

In addition, we would like to highlight the below characteristics in particular. These are characteristics that customers often realise are missing, even though they consider them indispensable. For this reason, we strongly recommend adding and entering the below characteristics to your trade items.

  • S15 - Transport height: although this characteristic is added automatically with almost every trade item, it is not mandatory. However, customers highly appreciate it being added.

    • The Transport height describes the height that the product including a tray measures on a trolley. In other words, how much space is needed between the shelves for transport.

  • S62 - Country of origin: This information is essential for customers exporting abroad. This information is, in fact, mandatory for export to countries including the United Kingdom.

Tip: would you like to add a characteristic to multiple trade items at once? In that case, use the "Quick entry characteristics" tool.

A pop-up will then appear on the screen. Now select a characteristic to add it to all the desired trade items. Click on the image to expand.

Don't forget to click Save when you're done.

You can also check the boxes next to your trade items in the catalog. A yellow bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click on Quick actions > Set characteristic.

Please note that this way, you may overwrite characteristics that have already been entered. Click on the image to expand.
