This article lets growers know all about the option for buyers to check out from Floriday using an eWallet. The article takes a look at several major questions and answers to do with orders placed using an eWallet. We want to draw your attention to this information so that orders can be processed properly.
What is an eWallet and how does it work?
With an eWallet, buyers deposit money up front into a digital wallet to pay for purchases at auctions, Clock Pre-sales or for direct trade. This allows buyers who do not qualify for a credit account with RFH, or who deliberately choose to make manual deposits using the eWallet, to use our marketplace even so and purchase from growers such as yourself, with payment guaranteed. |

Spending budget check
Orders placed on Floriday through an eWallet are checked against the buyer's spending budget. Spending budgets ensure that buyers do not purchase too much compared to the guarantees provided. This is how Royal FloraHolland prevents buyers exceeding the available credit balance. Provided there is sufficient balance remaining, an authorisation hold is recorded against the eWallet. This guarantees payment for growers.
How can you recognise an eWallet order?
An order placed by a buyer with an eWallet can be identified by the eWallet icon in the sales order summary.
Where can I find eWallet orders?
You can easily find orders from eWallet buyers in the sales overview in Floriday by filtering on 'eWallet' under 'Financial processing'.
The shield indicates that the credit check has been done successfully and the order has been approved. The order can be delivered and payment is guaranteed.
Please note! Are you working through the software package linked to Floriday? Then you won't see this feature. You will not receive a notification. However, you can always check the status of the order in the Floriday screens.
Our advice to you: Encourage buyers to order via Floriday
When ordering on an eWallet, a real-time check on the buyer's balance takes place in Floriday. Is there no balance? Then the buyer cannot order. So to have certainty of payment, it is important that orders take place through Floriay. If orders are placed via Whatsapp, email or phone, there is no such real-time check. It could therefore be the case that the buyer orders something but has no balance. This puts you at risk of orders not being settled.
We would like to give you some tips:
Encourage buyers to order on supply. Orders then come in via Floriday, the eWallet balance is checked immediately and you can complete the delivery. This reduces the risk for you as a grower.
Create an offer or purchase tip: To run orders through Floriday, you can send an offer or purchase tip. This way, the balance in the buyer's eWallet is checked immediately.
Create the order earlier in the Floriday screens: Do you receive an order that is not placed through Floriday? Enter the order, in Floriday before you start delivering the order. Check if the order can be placed (you'll receive an error message if the eWallet is not sufficient) and only then handle the delivery.
Are you curious about which buyers order via the eWallet? Go to your Network in Floriday and check with the financial service provider how the buyer pays off.
Do you work using a software package?
Even if you use a software package to process your orders, we recommend checking on Floriday whether the buyer places orders using an eWallet and encouraging the buyer to place the order on Floriday by sending a price offer or buying tip.
Important! Orders placed using an eWallet can only be processed on or via Floriday. This is done on the order processing screens. This is only possible using your own software package linked to Floriday if the package supports (direct) processing via Floriday. To find out whether your software package is linked to Floriday, talk to your software supplier or check the list on our website.
Can't handle eWallet orders via Floriday? Then turn this off!
If you cannot or do not want to process eWallet orders, you can enable or disable the RFH eWallet option in payment settings. This prevents eWallet buyers from placing orders with you. This can be found in Settings > Organisation > Financial settlement
