All trade items from your assortment are filled in the Floriday catalog. For these trade items, it is important that you have correctly entered the characteristics of these trade items.
For each trade item, you start by entering the VBN code. A number of characteristics are associated with each VBN code; some characteristic is mandatory, others are not. Despite this, these non-mandatory characteristics are often desirable for your customers. For this reason, we recommend filling in all characteristics that are associated with a trade item.
In addition, we would like to highlight the below characteristics in particular. These are characteristics that customers often realise are missing, even though they consider them indispensable.
S15 - Transport height: although this characteristic is added automatically with almost every trade item, it is not mandatory. However, customers highly appreciate it being added.
The Transport height describes the height that the product including a tray measures on a trolley. In other words, how much space is needed between the shelves for transport.
S62 - Country of origin: This information is essential for customers exporting abroad. This information is, in fact, mandatory for export to countries including the United Kingdom. Floriday has chosen to make this information mandatory, so that customers involved in international trade have access to this information
S98 - Quality: Customers want to know whether the trade item is of A1 quality or not. Ensure this feature is set for all your trade items so customers know what to expect. Floriday has chosen to make this information mandatory. For more information about product quality, visit the Royal FloraHolland website or contact the Customer Contact Center.

Quickly set characteristics for multiple items
Want to add a property to multiple items at once? Use the Quick entry Characteristic tool.
Under characteristic, you can select which property you want to add. You can then set this per item or, using the checkbox, set it for multiple trade items at once.
You can also search for trade items where the specified characteristic is still empty, or which have been filled in.
You can also set a characteristic for multiple items simultaneously from the catalog. Do this by setting the catalog to List view and selecting multiple items. To select all items, click the item checkbox at the top.
After selecting items, a yellow bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click Quick actions > Set characteristic
Note!
This method will overwrite properties that are already set.
Adding the correct packing configuration
It's important to add the correct packing configuration to a trade item. In the catalog, enter the packing configuration for each trade item, assuming a full load carrier. For a Danish Container (DC), we assume two layers by default. For a Stapelwagen (SW), we assume four layers by default (base plate and three shelves). If you use additional shelves, enter the total number of layers/shelves.
Do you have a packing configuration that can only be ordered by a specific customer or customer group? Then create a customer-specific packing configuration.
From the catalog, you can easily edit and add multiple packing configuration using the Manage packing configuration button.
Note!
Are you using boxes as packages? Please note that in Floriday's loading method, we consider the shelves as "layers," not the "number" of boxes per shelf. So, if you have two layers of four boxes side by side on a shelf, you have eight packages per layer.
