Products may become scarce once the season starts. In this case, you may want to offer your products only to your top customers and briefly switch off availability for customers who buy sporadically.

There are several ways to do this in Floriday. A convenient way to set this up is by working with customer tags and availability filters.

Creating customer tags

First, create a customer tag. With customer tags, you can easily bundle customers into a group. The tags can be used in different ways in Floriday, including setting up these groups in the availability filters.

Go to Match & connect > Network and click on the tag icon.

You can add groups here, for example your best customers, normal customers and customers who buy sporadically.

We are going to add the group of customers who buy sporadically. Select the organizations that belong to it. You can do this by looking at all customers of Royal FloraHolland or only by looking at your connections.

By adding tags to these customers, you can turn on or off the availability for these customers collectively.

Setting availability filters

Go to Supply > Direct sales > Catalog prices. In this overview you can see that the availability for the current and coming week is either on or off for all products.

For example, if a certain product becomes scarce, you do want it to remain available, but not to all customers. In that case, it is useful if you can distinguish between your top customers and customers who buy from you less frequently. Click on the three dots and go to Availability filters.

At the top of the screen you can see the tags you have just created. You can then immediately select the group of, for example, sporadic customers. You can then turn off the availability for this group of customers.

You can do this for each customer or by using the multi-select for several customers at the same time and thus immediately turn off the availability for all these customers.

When you click on Save, you will see -4 in the overview. This means that this trade item is unavailable to 4 customers.

You can also do this the other way round by turning off availability and making an exception for your top customers, for example. In that case, a +4 will appear.
