What is Floriday Daytrade?

With Floriday Daytrade we combine the advantages of auction logistics with the flexibility that you as a grower are used to in direct trade. Put your supply on the market earlier, reach more buyers, deliver large flows to the hubs and let Royal FloraHolland take care of the logistics completely.

You make your supply available early in the day. The numbers of your stock are based on a commercial estimate. You indicate to which hub (auction location) you are prepared to bring the products. This determines at which hubs your supply can be purchased. During the day you receive orders from buyers on the offered supply at the various hubs. At the moment the goods have to be picked up, you choose the further distribution to the hubs and you choose what can be sold on the clock. RFH's logistics then delivers these orders, whereby we offer buyers a wide range of delivery times.

What advantages does Floriday Daytrade offer me?

  • You can make your supply available early. Give a commercial estimate of your harvest and adjust it later in the day.

  • Unburdening in logistics. Deliver thicker flows to the hubs, because smaller orders are delivered by the logistics of Royal FloraHolland to the buyers.offe

  • Reach a broader sales market. Your supply is immediately visible to buyers in the Floriday Explorer and in your store. In connections on Floriday, your Daytrade supply is also passed on as Clock pre-sale supply.

Why a queue and how does it work?

We have a queue for Floriday Daytrade because we cannot yet start with this way of selling on all hubs of Royal FloraHolland. We also want to be able to introduce this step by step and with sufficient guidance. The first growers are now testing and we will slowly scale this up. If we have new places available, we will personally invite growers here and guide them in this.

Daytrade is especially suitable for flower growers because you can start marketing flowers earlier and receive small orders. It is important that you can work in the Floriday screens (it will become available later via the API connection on Floriday) and work with stickers. The first plant growers have now also successfully joined.

Can I also participate if I work with a software package?

You can already register for the queue. It is possible that the software package you work with still needs to make a number of adjustments so that you as a grower can also participate in Floriday Daytrade via your software package. In the meantime, you could also participate via the Floriday screens. The first software packages have already made adjustments to test with Daytrade.

What are the costs for Daytrade?

The same rates apply to Floriday Daytrade as for supply on the Clock / Clock pre-sale. We charge a cart fee for a cooled or uncooled cart, including the first night of storage. From the second night onwards, we charge the costs for cooled or uncooled storage separately. This amounts to: €4.69 per night (weekend counts as one night).

Where can buyers see my Daytrade supply?

The supply can be found in the Floriday Explorer and in your store. Buyers can then choose a desired delivery time for the purchased batch. The supply can also be found in Floramondo for buyers. The Daytrade supply can be shown in the buyers' own software packages via a connection. There, the Daytrade supply that can be delivered the next day is shown as a Clock pre-sale supply. Supply that cannot be delivered the next day are not shown in the connection (because various delivery times cannot yet be provided).

What are the agreements regarding product complaints?

Buyers can always make product complains about Daytrade. For Daytrade clock transactions and Daytrade Clock pre-sale transactions, the current regular opening hours and rules apply, the same as for normal clock (pre-sale) transactions.

How do I determine how much should be sold for the clock?

As a grower, you enter a percentage in advance of how much you want to sell for the clock. The percentage is only a reservation. Of the part that you offer via Daytrade, that percentage is reserved for the clock. If you do not fill in the percentage, everything can be pre-sold. You can still make adjustments to this until 16:00, because then the rules of Clock pre-sale apply. This is a moment when the buyer still has time to do his clock preparation.
